Letter to Colonel Malcom. "I have nothing extraordinary to inform you. The fort is yet in the hands of the enemy and the passage over Kingsbridge is yet open. I hope on the arrival of some mortars and larger cannon we shall be able to possess ourselves of the fort and secure the post."
